For anyone new to the dulcimer, you may not know that much of the dulcimer music canon comes from fiddle music. I loved this brief clip from Scottish fiddler Aly Bain's interview of legendary Kentucky fiddler J.P. Fraley. First, because they play "Wild Rose of the Mountain", and, second, because afterwards, J.P. describes the bad reputation that fiddle music had back in the day before the acoustic boomers (re) discovered it.
